Description

Nehalem Falls Campground provides tranquil camping opportunities along the Nehalem State Scenic Waterway. Located approximately 10 miles east of Wheeler, the campground provides 14 first-come-first-served drive-in campsites, 6 walk-in first-come-first-served campsites, and 1 reservable group site. A short ¾ mile hiking trail circumnavigates the campground and leads through a stand of old growth Sika spruce and western hemlock. Views of the river corridor as well as Nehalem Falls, a low falls surrounded by a basalt ledge are plentiful.

    From the junction of U.S. Highway 101 and State Route 53 drive east on SR 53 for 1.3 miles, turn south (right) on Miami Foley Road, travel 1 mile, turn east (left) on to Foss Road and travel 7 miles to the campground entrance on the left. Campground is located at milepost 7 on Foss Road.
